Celtic mist drie spelers tegen Feyenoord

Celtic mist woensdagavond drie spelers in het laatste Champions League duel tegen Feyenoord in groep E. De ploeg van coach Brandon Rodgers kan niet beschikken over de Japanners Daizen Maeda en Reo Hatate. Ook is de Amerikaanse verdediger Cameron Carter-Vickers niet fit, zo gaf Rodgers aan op de persconferentie dinsdag. 

Maeda heeft al een aantal weken een enkelblessure en zal ook tegen Feyenoord op Celtic Park niet op het veld staan. Landgenoot Hatate is herstellende van een hamstringblessure, maar het duel tegen de Rotterdammers komt nog te vroeg voor de middenvelder. Carter-Vickers zat afgelopen weekend in het verloren duel tegen Kilmarnock FC niet bij de selectie en speelt volgens de trainer van de Schotse ploeg ook niet tegen Feyenoord. 

De Schotse ploeg is met 1 punt uit vijf wedstrijden al uitgeschakeld voor Europese overwintering. Feyenoord, met 6 punten uit vijf duels, gaat na de winter verder in de tussenronde van de UEFA Europa League. Celtic en Feyenoord strijden woensdagavond vooral om de winstpremie van 2,8 miljoen euro.
